Beaded Bouquet & Candle Making

Join Jenn from Candlewood to make a beautiful and fresh spring-scented 12 ounce candle and one gorgeous beaded mini bouquet. Enjoy a night of fun personalizing your candle, choosing your scents and crafting a unique bouquet no one will believe was crafted by YOU! Artificial flowers are handmade using acrylic beads and metal wire. They are perfect for daily use and can be placed indoors and outdoors as a stunning eye-catching centerpiece decoration! Lab fee: $25 to be paid directly to instructor at start of class.

It's never too late to learn! No experience is necessary or expected. A class that introduces the nuts-and-bolts approach to a structured drawing process. A variety of mediums will be used - graphite in different forms and charcoal in block, powder and vine. Materials provided for in-class use.

National Service Through AmeriCorps: Informational Session

This informative workshop will provide attendees with all the information they need to enter National Service through the AmeriCorps program. AmeriCorps is the program whereby citizens can Make a Difference in their community by enrolling to lend their energy and ability to advance a well thought out project and program. AmeriCorps members receive a stipend, fully paid health benefit (full time) and an education award that can be applied to any post-secondary school tuition/fees. Member terms are full or part time and there are many opportunities available, including the Augusta area. Hear more about how you can enlist to provide National Service through AmeriCorps in your own community by attending this lively in-person seminar. There is no charge to attend a workshop and participants are under no obligation to join.

Learn the ins and outs of teaching with Adult Education. Tia will help you design a course or workshop specific to your hobby or profession. Topics will include course titles, course descriptions, lesson plans, engaging your audience, price points, and whether your course should be a one-off or sequence. You may find yourself proposing a course with Lake Region and Fryeburg Area Adult Education for the next or a future semester!

You Too Can Paint!
