This informative workshop will provide attendees with all the information they need to enter National Service through the AmeriCorps program. AmeriCorps is the program whereby citizens can Make a Difference in their community by enrolling to lend their energy and ability to advance a well thought out project and program. AmeriCorps members receive a stipend, fully paid health benefit (full time) and an education award that can be applied to any post-secondary school tuition/fees. Member terms are full or part time and there are many opportunities available, including the Augusta area. There is no charge to attend a workshop and participants are under no obligation to join.

Everyone can do some yoga, and, with very little instruction, you can begin to practice your focus on breath and holding postures. Yoga can be helpful with managing pain, improves your posture, tightens and tones your body, increases circulation, strengthens the back muscles, and helps with anxiety. Students should bring a yoga mat and a towel or light blanket. Wear loose clothing suitable for exercise. This class is for the beginner to experienced yoga student.

Jane is a seasoned quilter who will teach you how to make quilt squares for beautiful pot holders, towels bags and full size quilts. This is a special weekly morning class! Bring your fabric and a sewing machine.

If you've always wanted to learn watercolor painting in a relaxed, no-critique environment, this is the perfect class! Throughout four sessions you will learn some foundational skills and a variety of techniques, painting a simple landscape, birds and a floral. A suggested materials list will be available at the first class. Please bring whatever materials you have. Lab fee: $10 for supplies to be paid directly to the instructor at first class.

No prior experience is necessary - just bring your enthusiasm and a willingness to try something new! You'll be introduced to various earring making tools, techniques, and materials while learning how to design and assemble your very own dangles. By the end of class, you will have a collection of handmade earrings to show off or gift to friends and family. Unleash your inner jewelry designer and add a personal touch to your accessories! You'll pick from a variety of beads, allowing for complete customization. You'll leave with a tools and materials list including where to buy, and of course, your earrings! What to expect: Each participant will create 2-3 pairs of dangles.
