Heroin/Opiate Epidemic Information Session

Free

with Lake Region Substance Abuse Coalition

Mar 29, 2017 at 6 pm, runs for 1 week

Join the Lake Region Substance Abuse Coalition at Lake Region High School for an informative, sharing-oriented, 2-hr. program.

You’ve heard about it.  Drug/alcohol abuse dominates the news.  You know someone or have heard of someone who has overdosed.  Is it possible to address the problem in some organized and constructive way?  Do you want to know:  What addiction is?  Who it happens to?  Why it happens?  Do you agonize over how to help your loved one, friend or employee?  Are you frustrated because you don’t know what to do?  Are you saddened because you couldn’t do enough?  Do you wonder what it is that seems to make addicts so difficult to understand?

We’ll have knowledgeable and experienced people guiding this session.  We’ll give you all the hard data, do some guided discussion, answer questions and provide an overview of what’s available, or should be available, to help stop the bleeding.

This info session will be held at Lake Region High School’s auditorium on Wednesday, March 29, from 6 – 8 PM.

We’d like an idea of how many people to expect that evening. Although walk-ins are certainly welcome, we’d appreciate it if you would pre-register by calling our office at 627-4291 or go online to register at lakeregion-fryeburg.maineadulted.org.
