AKC Puppy Class

Calendar Oct 2, 2018 at 6 pm, runs for 6 weeks

The AKC Star Puppy Class is for puppies 8 weeks to 10 months of age. In this class you will be able to get all your puppy training questions answered along with learning basic training skills such as walking nicely on leash, sit, down, and come when called. After attending all 6 classes the Star puppy test will be administered and upon passing your puppy will receive a new title and certificate. All puppies are welcome including mixed breeds. Students must have a copy of vaccinations, a 4-6 ft thin leash, and soft treats.

*Lab fee: $120 to be paid directly to instructor on the first day of class.

Archangels Sacred Circle Workshop & Meditation

Come learn about Archangels Raphael, Michael, Gabriel, & Uriel and be guided on a journey by Certified Hypnotherapist Donna Shaw to meet them. Learn what their specialties are, feel each one’s unique presence (energy) and, how to ask them for help. They truly want us to get closer and connect with them, to learn to communicate, heal and be guided by them, so that they can touch our lives, and help us to help ourselves and others.

Beginner Crocheting

Come to this class and learn the art of crocheting! We will learn the most basic of crochet stitches.

All you need is enthusiasm, a size 8 or H crochet hook, a skein of Lily Sugar ‘N Cream 100 cotton yarn or any cotton 4 ply yarn, and the desire to learn the fine art of crocheting.

Bulk Up! Buying and Cooking in Bulk

We all know that buying in bulk saves, but it can be frustrating when we constantly end up wasting half the bag because it ends up going bad before we use it. In this class, learn how to buy in bulk and cook with those items without feeling like you’re eating the same thing over and over again. The instructor will purchase an item in bulk and you will make several recipes with that single item. Walk away with recipes, ideas and confidence of buying in bulk.

Chakras Workshop & Meditation

An introduction to the chakra system, you will learn the concept of the Chakra System as we cover the 7 main Chakra Centers. What the Chakra system is, does and how your bodies energy system (chakras) affect you as a whole mind, body & spirit. Each of the seven major chakras will be described including location, color, emotional correspondence; and impact on you as a whole being. Learn how to “ground” and ways to open and balance each your own chakras. You will also be guided on a meditation journey through the chakras to ground, open, balance and cleanse your energy system by Reiki Master & Certified Hypnotherapist Donna Shaw. Color My Cloth

When was the last time you sat and colored with a box of crayons...on fabric? We will use crayons and learn to blend colors for a more realistic and permanent design technique with multiple applications. There will be 4 different vintage floral designs ( or 2 seasonal pumpkin designs) from which to choose in class for your project. We will also discuss finishing, thread painting and embellishment techniques for your very own creative touches at home. Finished size is approximately 14” square. Students will need to bring; 1-24 count box of Crayola crayons # 2 lead pencil Ultra-fine black sharpie marker

Cooking Matters For Adults

Cooking Matters™ classes provide a culinary-enhanced nutrition education program that teaches participants how to prepare meals that are healthy, tasty and low in cost. Each lesson engages participants in hands-on meal preparation, practical nutrition tips and food budgeting skills. This class provides participants with the knowledge and skills to make healthy food choices, as well as to prepare healthy meals and snacks on a limited budget. Class highlights include: lessons featuring hands-on learning and recipe preparation, group discussions, tasty food samples, free recipe book, and a bag of groceries to prepare a dish from each week’s class at home.
