In this class you will learn the fundamental tools that Microsoft Office suite has to offer. Students will learn how to create and edit a Microsoft Word document using tools such as: formatting text, paragraph layout, lists, tables, page breaks, hyperlinks, headers and footers, proofing and printing, controlling page appearance, managing files, photos and clipart, and utilizing themes, styles, and graphics to make attractive flyers. Using Microsoft Excel, students will learn to create and edit spreadsheets, enter and format data, use formulas, and insert graphs. Students will also explore Microsoft PowerPoint, a robust presentation tool featuring text, graphics and animation! Prerequisite: beginner computer skills.
Natural Brass Embossed Jewelry

Create interesting embossed jewelry that gets noticed! Using the Vintaj metal texturizing system, you will impress patterns on pre-patinaed natural brass shapes and reveal interesting contrast with sanding blocks and sand paper. You will then experiment with metal patina inks, allowing you to add gorgeous, layered color. Finally, you will combine your textured metal with chain and beads to create whimsical, modern jewelry. Workshop fee includes all materials needed to make one embossed pendant with brass chain.

This will be a hands on pizza making class, where students will learn how to make pizza dough from scratch. You will learn how to make three different types of pizza: Classic thin crust margarita pizza with fresh mozzarella, tomato and basil. Then students will build a fancy flatbread with caramelized onions, foraged mushrooms, fresh thyme and goat cheese. Last but not least students will learn how to make a sweet dessert pizza with bananas, Nutella, caramel sauce and toasted walnuts.

Quilting and Appliqué

Learn the art of applique and how to do basic quilting with Jane Leonard, Seamstress at Never Ending Delights in Raymond. Jane will teach you how to appliqué on fabric and you will go home with a project of your own. You will also learn quilting techniques and tips. Bring your sewing machine, thread and bobbin, scissors or rotary cutter and 4 pieces of ¼ yard coordinating fabric to class. *You will be able to purchase kits for each project for $5 per kit. You may purchase as many project kits as you like from your instructor at start of class.*
Reiki II Certification (Prerequisite: Reiki I)

Reiki II is about “Emotional and Distant Healing.” While some people are happy to stay at level I, others have “the calling to heal the world and self, emotionally and physically.” There are two symbols given at this degree; they are for emotional and distant healing of self and others. Students will learn about the body’s energy centers (chakras), chakra crystal grids, auras, and updated Reiki history. Students will receive hands-on training (table-time) and a Reiki II manual, attunement, and certificate.This class will be limited to 7 participants.
