Calendar runs for 8 weeks

A blended learning class combining face-to-face classroom sessions with online learning assignments and interaction. This 8-unit class requires live student participation for the first and last class session and completion of six units online with instructor direction and classmate interaction.

This course will focus on the essential skills of a successful college student which will include study skills, time management, decision making strategies, financial literacy, career pathways exploration and academic readiness.

This class fulfills a required college graduation credit at both Central and Southern Maine Community Colleges. Students who pass this course will be awarded this 1 credit hour on his/her college transcript.

Location: 2 ‘live’ sessions with an advisor/instructor and 6 online sessions

fulfills a 1 credit graduation requirement for both Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) and Central Maine Community College (CMCC). Students who successfully complete class will meet the graduation requirements for the Freshman Interest Group (SMCC) or the First Year Seminar (CMCC) and will earn a credit towards degree completion.
