An American Banking Association Certified Course
Have you ever thought of banking as a career? Do you think you don't have the skills necessary? Successfully complete all components of this 7-week course and you'll learn about the banking basics required, the workplace math skills necessary for success, tips on interviewing skills and preparing your resume. You'll also receive a Today's Teller certificate from the American Banking Association, a designation that is recognized nationally by banks and other financial companies.
Taught by professionals from TD Bank, Norway Savings, and Key bank, these local banking facilitators will help you learn what you need to gain an advantage in the employment process by earning a certificate from the American Banking Association. The certificate is a real advantage in the job seeking process. The workplace math skills will be in an online format and supported by our adult education academic instructor. Mock interviews will be held on-site at Norway Savings Bank.

Effective Customer Service 101

Giving good customer service (CS) is the key to a sustainable sales income and a strong returning customer base. Effective CS is more than saying “Please” and “Thank You”, being on time, or ‘doing your job’. Join us for this two-part workshop on the how’s and why’s of delivering and maintaining a customer service experience that will not only wow the most difficult patron, but will ensure a steady growth of loyal customers and your wallet!
Part I). The Little Things & Insight - Understand the difference between service and hospitality. Learn the core values of CS and simple, key skills for your CS tool belt. Explore ways to deliver a memorable experience in every situation. Listen to your customers and use behaviors that engage them. Master simple hospitality hacks sure to increase your tips.
Part II). Feedback & Expectations – How to exceed expectations and be successful with your service. Why negative reviews are your best friend. How to easily track your personal sales growth. Dealing with the customer who is not always right. How to build a returning customer base. Is a loyalty program worth the effort?

*Participants will be asked to complete the University of Maine’s WelcomeME customer service certification, before the Part II session. WelcomeME is a FREE 60-minute online program sponsored by the Maine Woods Consortium, VisitMaine.com, and the Maine Tourism Alliance.
Instructed by Wendy Gallant with guest contributors from local businesses and industry experts. Ms. Gallant has over 20 years in the service and hospitality industry, as well as an AAS in Business Admin & Management, a BA in Tourism & Hospitality, and is a successful entrepreneur of a few small business ventures.
This is a ‘couples’ special! The 30$ fee is for a supervisory and an employee pair - we want to help ‘train the trainer’ as a part of this program. Individual registrations accepted with a 19$ per person fee. Certificates of Completion will be provided.

Certified Group Fitness and Personal Trainer
with Academy of Medical Professions
Looking for a new career? Interested in changing lives of those around you? How about a part-time career or to get paid to work out? This program is designed to teach you everything you need to know to enter the health and fitness field as a group fitness instructor and/or personal trainer. Our trainers are highly recognized in this field, with more than 20 years experience, and will provide you hands-on training to pass the national tests through AFAA. The program is all-inclusive and will include AED, First Aid and CPR certifications as well. You may choose to complete both group fitness and personal training, or take one or the other. Lectures are once a week for 10 or 20 weeks. $1,500 or $3,000 for both. All materials included in fee including National Certification Exams. Pharmacy Technician Certificate program w/PTCB national certification

All Inclusive 14 week program.
Work One-On-One with a Pharmacy Technician Trainer and entirely online with support from a Pharmacy Technician and Trainer. The Pharmacy Technician is one of the fastest growing jobs in health care today. In this course, you will learn everything from the role of the technician in the pharmacy setting, to the basic sciences at the core of pharmacy practice, to preparing for the PTCB exam. You will learn complete drug information that includes proper name, spelling and pronunciation, drug class, generic and trade name, route of administration, dosage and more of hundreds of drugs. You will be able to identify pills on sight with pill photos, gain a better understanding of how certain drugs work within the body with a concise review of relevant anatomy and physiology, and stay up to date with cutting-edge pharmacy practice with the latest information on new drugs, regulations, HIPAA guidelines and safety procedures. You will be ready to pass your PTCB national certification included in cost.
