"Cutting the Cord" - Getting TV & Phone Services Over the Internet

What does it mean to "Cut the Cord"? It's about canceling cable or satellite services and being able to watch television shows online, as well as options that would allow you to get rid of your landline. This class will not only show you the wide variety of options out there, but also teach you some tools to decide if cutting the cord is right for you.
MSAD 61 Substitute Teacher Training
with Rhonda Springer
In this one-hour training, MSAD 61 staff will review the requirements for becoming a substitute teacher in MSAD 61 and how to get on the substitute list; professional expectations and best practices for substitute teachers; what to expect at the various schools in the district; and some district policy and legal information. Participants who complete this training are eligible to receive an additional $10 per day in substitute pay, and this includes current substitutes!

After taking this Zoom workshop, you’ll be able to determine if being a business owner is right for you. We’ll go over business planning, market research, and what it takes to get started, including licensing, operational, and legal considerations. We do this in a WHAT NOT TO DO format that highlights some of the common mistakes new business owners make.

The Small Business Development Center is a free, confidential business advising service found in every state. These services are for new and existing businesses alike and can range from business planning, financial projections, human resources, tax strategies and more. In his 8 years, Peter Harriman has helped over 1,300 clients access over $14 Million in funding to help start over 98 businesses in Maine. The course, Starting a Business, will go through the fundamental questions and motivations Peter has learned over the years that help business owners understand how, when and why to start a new business.

In this class, we will explore apps, software, and devices that help promote and maintain exerciseand diet, monitoring blood sugar, blood pressure, weight medication reminders, using FitBits, Apple Watch, etc., and connecting with Bluetooth.
American Heart Association (AHA): Heartsaver Adult/Child/Infant CPR and AED & First Aid

This course provides a framework for learning basic skills that may save a life or prevent further injury. You will learn first aid basics, CPR for adults, children, and infants, AED use, and emergency opioid aid. The course includes classroom instruction and practice as well as a return demonstration of skills. There is a pass/fail component to the demonstration of skills learned in the class. The class is 8 hours in length.
