In this one-hour training, MSAD 61 staff will review the requirements for becoming a substitute teacher in MSAD 61 and how to get on the substitute list; professional expectations and best practices for substitute teachers; what to expect at the various schools in the district; and some district policy and legal information. Participants who complete this training are eligible to receive an additional $10 per day in substitute pay, and this includes current substitutes!

These services are for new and existing businesses alike and can range from business planning, financial projections, human resources, tax strategies and more. In his 8 years, Peter Harriman has helped over 1,300 clients access over $14 Million in funding to help start over 98 businesses in Maine. The course, Starting a Business, will go through the fundamental questions and motivations Peter has learned over the years that help business owners understand how, when and why to start a new business.

This comprehensive assessment will let you know if you have the computer skills needed to be successful in school, work and at home. After testing, if you need to improve your skills, we can help you design a learning plan, either in a class or in personalized online lessons you can do from your own home!

We are looking for individuals who want to make a difference in a child’s life. A Certified Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) has the opportunity to make an immediate impact while helping a child grow and develop to their full potential.

Children’s Behavioral Health Services are vital to Maine’s children with Intellectual Disabilities, Autism and Mental Health Disorders and their families and we are excited to connect our community with Woodfords Family Service for this wonderful ONLINE training program.

This online training will equip you to successfully help children who are currently on a wait list for services and become an integral part of a child’s treatment team. The training will prepare you for employment through local social services agencies. You can start at any time and finished at your own pace.You will complete 12 online modules then (3) 4-hour live sessions, including the new ethics and boundaries training. Once the modules are completed, you will receive free online blood borne pathogen training and virtual First Aid & CPR training if you do not already possess those certifications. The entire training requirements will take about 45 hours.Any individual who will be 18 years of age or older upon completion of the course may register.

140 Classroom Hours w/ a Clinical Externship

For students who want to prepare for an exciting, challenging and rewarding career in healthcare. This program trains students to assist physicians by performing functions related to the clinical responsibilities of a medical office. Instruction includes preparing patients for examination and treatment, routine laboratory procedures, diagnostic testing, technical aspects of phlebotomy and the cardiac life cycle. Includes hands-on labs and a clinical externship opportunity at a local healthcare provider. To be eligible for clinical rotation, students must successfully complete the 140-hour program, submit to a thorough background check, drug screening and meet other requirements. Note: Upon successful completion of this program, students are eligible to sit for the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) national examination.
