Orientation Dec 7, 2019
CNAs are caregivers who provide patients assistance with activities of daily living and basic needs. They also help patients feel safe and comfortable throughout their hospital stay. These direct caregivers spend most of their time assisting patients and listening to their concerns.
The State of Maine approved CNA course includes classroom work, skills labs, and clinical experience. This is a 20-week, 180 hour course: 110 classroom hours (Saturdays) and 70 clinical hours (Saturdays and evenings). Our course includes additional academic support for those who need or want it. At the successful completion of the course, students take the State Certification Examination. Course cost includes the State Certification Examination and cost of the background check.
Admission process includes scheduling an orientation appointment to complete application materials and required reading assessment. Candidates must be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalency (or be working towards their diploma). Immunizations and background checks are required.
Please call for an orientation appointment, which must be scheduled on or before 12/15/19 to secure your registration.
