Pharmacy Technician Certificate program w/PTCB national certification

All Inclusive 14 week program.
Work One-On-One with a Pharmacy Technician Trainer and entirely online with support from a Pharmacy Technician and Trainer. The Pharmacy Technician is one of the fastest growing jobs in health care today. In this course, you will learn everything from the role of the technician in the pharmacy setting, to the basic sciences at the core of pharmacy practice, to preparing for the PTCB exam. You will learn complete drug information that includes proper name, spelling and pronunciation, drug class, generic and trade name, route of administration, dosage and more of hundreds of drugs. You will be able to identify pills on sight with pill photos, gain a better understanding of how certain drugs work within the body with a concise review of relevant anatomy and physiology, and stay up to date with cutting-edge pharmacy practice with the latest information on new drugs, regulations, HIPAA guidelines and safety procedures. You will be ready to pass your PTCB national certification included in cost. $1,850.00.

We will be having 2 classes this spring
Our daytime class starts March 1 from 9:00 AM-1:30 PM and runs for 10 weeks.
Our evening class starts March 28 from 5-9:00 PM and runs for 11 weeks.
The Phlebotomist is a vital member of the clinical laboratory team who obtains a patient’s blood specimens by venipuncture and micro collection for testing purposes. Phlebotomists are employed across the healthcare system. Classroom and lab work includes medical terminology, blood collection, procedures, specimen hands-on practice, and training in skills and techniques to perform puncture methods. Learners must produce documentation of a recent medical physical examination conducted and signed by a physician, and the following vaccinations: Hepatitis B, MMR, Tetanus, Varicella, and TB. Class size is limited.
Students are responsible for purchasing book for class- "Phlebotomy Essentials 6th Editiion" by Ruth McCall and Cathee Tankersley.

Substitute Teacher 101

Have you ever wanted to be a substitute teacher? Do you enjoy working with children? You’ve been called to substitute, now what do you do? This workshop can help you. Join the Principal of Stevens Brook Elementary School as she explains the ins and outs of subbing in MSAD 61. A handbook will be provided outlining lesson plan interpretations, classroom management and navigating around the district schools. A question and answer session will conclude this workshop.
