Have you ever wanted to learn the guitar? Our instructor can teach you the basics as well as about music. He will instruct you on chords and songs including light improvs and melodies.

The Power of Forgiveness

In this class you will discuss the book “The Forgiving Book” by Desmond Tutu and participate in “forgiveness” lessons created by the instructor. The take away is a curriculum you could lead for others.

Students will need to purchase and bring a copy of the book “The Forgiving Book” by Desmond Tutu.

Intermediate Guitar

Reiki 2

Reiki II is about “Emotional and Distant Healing” (Mind) While some people are happy to stay at level 1, others have the “Calling to heal the world & self emotionally and physically”. There are two symbols given at this degree, they are for emotional & distant healing of self and others. Students will receive a Reiki II Training manual and will learn more in-depth about the body’s energy(chakras) centers, Auras, Reiki updated history, chakra crystal grid etc. You will receive a Reiki II manual, attunement, certificate and have hands on practice table time) Reiki III will be offered next semester.

Please bring a pen and water.

*Lab fee: $90 to be paid directly to instructor on the first day of class.*

Jelly Roll Rug

Create this crafty and decorative oval rug for your home with pre-cut jelly roll fabric strips or cut your own 2.5-inch scraps. Batting strips are also used as filler to stabilize. Finished oval size is approx. 30 x 40 inches and can be adjusted, if desired. 

Supply List for Students: 

            Sewing Machine in good working order with

            Walking foot & heavy-duty jeans sewing machine needles highly recommended

              Complimentary or decorative thread

              Package of Wonder clips

 

Optional Kit fee:  $65 will include 2 pkgs. Bosal re-cut batting, 1 pre-cut jelly roll of fabric, Jelly Roll Rug Pattern and batting seam tape OR students may bring their own kits.

 

Kit supplies will be available individually for purchase as needed or desired.

Introduction to Belly Dancing

Join us for this one-night introduction class to the art of Belly Dance! Learn some moves and have lots of fun! This type of dance is a feast for the senses. Flowing glittery scarves and material, enticing eastern beats and rhythms that make you want to move! It will definitely lift your spirits. No experience necessary. Wear clothes that you can move in.

If you have always wanted to write, this class is for you! Writing reduces stress, increases memory, and fosters deep thinking and creativity! Writing is a great way to express yourself, and you don’t need to be a great writer to write. We will free write, write response letters to interesting articles, and complete fun writing exercises.

Student should bring enthusiasm, a love of writing, journal or notebook and a pen!
